In Al Shamal, the Scope of Works for the upgrading scheme includes replacement septage reception facility with eight tanker bays as well as the provision of three skid mounted package treatment plants each with a design capacity of 200 m3/day. In Al Dhakira, an additional parallel treatment process stream needs to be added to the PTP to include extra 1,600 m3/d treatment capacity thus, bringing the total treatment capacity at site to 3,200 m3/d using similar size tanks.
